Capital Campaign

Sacred Indigenous Preservation (SIP) exists to protect and preserve the indigenous ceremonies of North America and to support the places where the practice of these ceremonies is threatened.

Since the Sweat Lodges were established in 1986, the ceremonies have given strength to countless numbers of people seeking to heal from trauma, addiction, poverty, and regain mental health in a strong and supportive community that encourages a peaceful lifestyle and healing for all who partake. Sacred Indigenous Preservation evolved from the Hummingbird Community when we saw the need to protect the locations where ceremonies were held.

Currently, we conduct our Sweat Lodge ceremonies in an avocado grove due to the welcoming kindness of the landowner. Our retreats, vision quests, other ceremonies depend on our ability to gain permission to use more remote secluded lands.

Our goal is to find land where we can practice our Indigenous ceremonies and will be able to continue to teach them for generations to come. Our 501(c)(3) nonprofit status is now complete, and we are actively looking for land to acquire through purchase and/or gift. SIP is committed to providing places for ceremony, prayer, and cultural renewal around Indigenous ways.
